“Digitising Finance Recipes” – The Launch Event Recap
On 17 April, industry experts gathered for an insightful event that addressed the question: “What’s new with the banks’ digital channels for the fund industry and corporates?”. Hosted by Finologee, ABBL and LHoFT, the event brought together professionals to explore innovative strategies to improve customer processes, optimise multi-bank connectivity, digitise financial services and the fund industry and implement anti-fraud and risk mitigation capabilities.
The event kicked off with a warm welcome from Nasir Zubairi, CEO at LHoFT, setting the stage for an informative series of presentations from PwC Luxembourg, HSBC, Swift, Finologee and Caceis Bank.
François Génaux, Advisory Leader at PwC Luxembourg, offered valuable insights into the accelerating digital revolution within the asset and wealth management (AWM) industry. He highlighted the range of technologies that are driving this change as well as their impact on, e.g., streamlined relationship and risk management or improved operational efficiency and illustrated numerous use cases.
In the following presentation, Nick Ashton, Country Head Global Payments Solutions at HSBC, emphasised the bank’s commitment to offering numerous solutions aimed in particular at simplifying processes and increasing efficiency for clients. Thomas Peeters, Head of Europe North at Swift, explained in his presentation the capabilities for transforming cross-border payments and securities. He highlighted advances in areas such as instant payments through Swift gpi & tracker and Swift Go, as well as measures to prevent problems and streamline investigations with Pre-validation.
Notably, Finologee integrated Swift’s payment pre-validation solution into its banks and accounts management platform LYNKS, as demonstrated by Jonathan Prince, CSO at Finologee, during a live demo at the event. This feature enables clients to verify payment data accuracy before initiating transfers, ensuring seamless credit transactions.
